This report provides an update on the progress of the Support 350 Old People with Dementia in Imo State project (ID: 54327). Our mission is to improve the quality of life of older adults living with dementia by providing nutrition support, community care, caregiver education, and promoting healthy ageing through sustainable interventions.
Despite limited resources, we remain committed to restoring dignity, improving wellbeing, and supporting vulnerable elderly people and their caregivers across Imo State.

During this reporting period, we gratefully received $36.00 USD through GlobalGiving.
Although the amount is modest compared to the growing needs, every contribution represents hope and encouragement. Combined with support from our social enterprise, these funds help us continue planning and implementing activities that improve the wellbeing of older adults living with dementia.
4.. Project ActivitiesNutrition Support for Older Adults
We continued promoting the development of nutrient-dense fortified foods and nutraceutical diet products designed to support healthy ageing and improve the nutritional wellbeing of older adults.
Dementia Awareness and Caregiver Education
We continued raising awareness about dementia, emphasizing early recognition, compassionate care, and the importance of family and community support for older adults living with cognitive decline.
Samony Food Innovation
Through Samony Food Innovation, we continued developing affordable, nutritious food products that can help improve the dietary quality and overall health of elderly people and other vulnerable groups.
Food Innovation & Training Hub (FIT-Hub)
Through our Food Innovation & Training Hub (FIT-Hub), we continued promoting nutrition education, healthy ageing, food safety, and caregiver knowledge to strengthen community capacity for supporting older adults.
5. . Social Enterprise & In-Kind Contributions
In addition to donor support, our social enterprise continued providing in-kind contributions to sustain this project.
For the past three years, we have consistently donated food during the pilot testing of newly developed nutraceutical diet products and nutrient-dense fortified foods. These donations have benefited vulnerable individuals, including older adults, while allowing us to improve the quality, safety, and nutritional value of our products.
This approach demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that innovation directly benefits the communities we serve.
