Dear friends,
We want to share important news with you and express deep gratitude for your incredible support.
Last year, we closed our final rehabilitation center in Shymkent, and we no longer have active projects. We are taking a pause and suspending the Foundation's work. This was a difficult decision, but it was considered and made in consultation with the founders and the Board of Trustees in October 2023.
Several years ago, the foundation's goal was to establish rehabilitation centers in every region of Kazakhstan. It was a very ambitious dream, but the resources of a small private foundation proved to be insufficient. Nevertheless, we fulfilled our important role by creating an effective model of a rehabilitation center that yielded results for children.
Our model was adopted by the government, and as of today, 30 state rehabilitation centers named "Qamqorlyq" have been established based on it. This has become the realization of our dream to provide rehabilitation for children in every corner of Kazakhstan.
Although our activities are temporarily suspended, we maintain the desire to support families raising children with cerebral palsy. When we come to understand how the "Kzhol" fund will operate and what goals it will have, a new meeting of the Board of Trustees will be held to discuss and approve a new strategy, and we will resume fundraising.
During the reporting period, with the support of our donors, several initiatives were carried out for the beneficiaries of our foundation.
Our long-standing partner, the children's store "Children's World," provided clothing, toys, and stationery, which we distributed to families raising children with cerebral palsy.
The Sheraton Astana Hotel donated 4 food baskets to low-income families raising children with health impairments.
Additionally, the Sheraton Astana and St. Regis Astana hotels fulfilled the New Year's wishes of 4 special children, beneficiaries of our foundation. Hotel staff purchased special rehabilitation equipment such as walkers, a floor corner chair with a table, a chair for activities, and roller skates.
And what is New Year without sweets? With the support of a donor, we presented 100 candy sets to children.
We are grateful to everyone who has supported our project over the years! Thanks to you, 8148 children from low-income families and children's homes received comprehensive rehabilitation free of charge. We deeply appreciate your contribution to this important cause.
Due to the suspension of activities of the "KZhol" fund, we kindly ask you not to transfer funds for the rehabilitation of children to our Foundation temporarily. We are resetting, rebooting, and eagerly awaiting the opportunity to return in the updated version of Kzhol.
Thank you for your trust and support!
