Thanks to our donors through Global Giving since May 2016, 2 more women in Eskisehir was able to get loans to invest in their micro businesses.
N.S. is married and is taking care of her 2 children and her elderly mother. Even though she worked before she got married, she stopped working after marriage. With her entrepreneurial soul and social character, she started to sell nutrition and cosmetics products to her relatives and friends. She took a loan to buy the products in bulk to increase her profit margin. She was provided with a loan of USD 300 that she will pay back in 24 weeks.
N.K. has been producing gift boxes for the last 10 years. Although she was doing her business from a shop she rented, she had to close it down due to economic problems and continued to do her business from home. She applied for a loan to buy production materials in bulk and she was provided with a loan of USD300 to be paid back in 24 weeks.
Since June 2015, KEDV raised a total of USD 3.510 through 55 donations through Global Giving and disbursed loans to 9 low income women for their micro businesses and gave financial literacy training to 15 women in addition to these 9. We still have a long way to reach our target of USD 70.000 to be able to support 200 low income women entrepreneurs. We would be grateful if you could continue to spread the word and share the project link in your networks.
Warm regards…
