During this period, SANAR received fifty (50) new patients, with different cancer diagnoses.
Patients and families attended group therapies, help workshops, and recreational activities.
In April we spent a wonderful day celebrating talents; despite the illness, patients are children who sing, dance, play musical instruments, etc.
We also celebrated the lives of the children and adolescents in the program, by sharing with their families, this being the perfect opportunity to strengthen bonds of trust and affection.
We went to a farm to enjoy a day outdoors, the patients played with the farm animals, and shared with the horses, chickens, ducks, rabbits, etc...We also took a walk through the garden, and they learned about different types of lettuce and took their lettuce to care for and feed themselves.
More than 100 in-person follow-ups were carried out weekly in hospitals with patients and caregivers.
Fifteen home visits were made to the patient's families to understand their reality and address their most urgent needs.
SANAR also contributed more than 10,000 dollars in urgent aid such as hygiene kits, clothing, pajamas, laboratories, medications, nutritional supplements, transportation, etc.
