Support 1000 Syrian Families by Basket Food

By Alaa Aldeen Arhemo | Programs Manager

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are writing to share an update on our campaign “Support 1000 Syrian Families by Basket Food.”

Since launching this project, our goal has been simple but urgent: to provide food baskets to 1,000 Syrian families living in displacement and crisis-affected communities. Each basket would help sustain a family with essential nutrition for one month, reducing hunger and giving dignity to families who have already lost so much.

Unfortunately, we must share that up until now, the campaign has not received any donations through the GlobalGiving platform. While this is a difficult reality, it does not diminish our commitment to these families or the importance of this project.

Why We Still Need Your Support

The humanitarian situation in Northwest Syria remains critical. Families continue to face:

  • Severe food insecurity due to rising prices and limited income opportunities.

  • Lack of consistent humanitarian assistance.

  • Increased vulnerability among children, women, and people with disabilities.

Every contribution—no matter the size—has the potential to directly change lives. Just $30 can provide a family with bread and essential food supplies for an entire month.

Our Commitment

Even though no funds have yet been raised through this campaign, our team at Salam Humanitarian Foundation (SHF) continues to serve displaced communities with whatever limited resources we can mobilize locally. We remain ready to implement this project immediately once support is secured.

How You Can Help

  • Make a donation to help us start distributing food baskets.

  • Share the campaign page with your friends, family, and networks.

  • Partner with us in amplifying this urgent call for solidarity.

Together, we can ensure that no family is left hungry.

With gratitude and hope,
The Salam Humanitarian Foundation (SHF) Team
