The Salam Humanitarian Foundation has not yet used the platform funds to pay for the Support 1000 Syrian Families by Basket Food. We collected $329 from the campaign, and on August 27, we received $500 from the platform for all campaigns.
The Salam Humanitarian Foundation continues to assess food needs and vulnerability criteria in camps in northwest Syria on a regular basis. Based on these assessments, we distribute food baskets to more than 60 needy families monthly in these areas. These baskets include food items recommended by the World Food Programme, such as grains, dry goods, some canned goods, oils, and baby food.
We strive to meet these needs according to available resources, but the gap between coverage and need remains substantial, especially with the ongoing conflict and increasing poverty among families, particularly those with women and children. The need for response is exacerbated with the approaching winter, as displaced families lack resources and job opportunities.
We hope to bring smiles to the faces of children and women and increase our support to meet the needs of these most vulnerable families
