Dear Supporters,
We are thrilled to celebrate the first milestone of our project dedicated to supporting orphaned and vulnerable children in Bamenda. Thanks to the early generosity of our global community, we recently received our first disbursement of $66 from GlobalGiving. While this is a modest starting sum, it allowed us to immediately bring joy and critical resources to 9 orphaned children aged 5 to 15, proving to these resilient young minds that they are cared for by a global family.
We put these funds to work by purchasing essential learning and cognitive tools tailored to their needs. The contribution was used to acquire essential writing materials such as notebooks, pencils, and pens, colorful storybooks to build literacy, and creative building blocks to beautifully blend classroom readiness with the therapeutic power of play. Though a small start, these resources have already made a profound impact on the daily learning of these 9 pioneer beneficiaries.
Our ultimate goal remains to reach our target of 100 orphaned children in Bamenda, and we are actively seeking further funding to make this a reality. With additional support, we hope to provide these children with even greater resources, including school bags, uniforms, and critical school fees for the upcoming academic year. We are deeply grateful to our initial donors for getting us started, and we look forward to welcoming more partners to help us scale this impact.
