School Equipment for 400 Kids in Nigeria

JOS, PLATEAU STATE, NIGERIA AT THE ZAMBIRI CHILDREN OUTREACHED CENTRE IN JULY 2018.

Time Out 4Africa Education and sports foundation continues to impact children in all parts of the county. Providing kids with support on learning life skills that will help them once they finish school.The Zambiri children outreach center is home to underprivileged kids from the Jos metropolitan area in the northern part of Nigeria, where in the last few years has been a hot spot in the country for the religious unrest . In October 2014, our foundation through your donation was able to donated 4 sewing  machines to the center and also 6 Barbering kits to help the kids in acquiring sewing skills and training to become Barbers. Kids in the center were from all ages ,ranging from ages 5 till 17.Over 30 kids were present for the program.

 Some days ago our project leader in Jos, Mrs.Briggs visited the kids in the program. She was so happy to inform us that the kids are doing great. Tailors and Barbers in training.

Helen who is now 16 year old is in her senior  year in secondary school still lives with the Bishops wife is pursuing her passion for fashion design .She is still enrolled in the sewing classes and doing great. She promised to make a dress for the project leader.

The Timeout4Africa Foundation is happy to share that our work in Africa continues to provide much needed support to children in Jos, Nigeria. Our school project, which included donating classroom supplies and furniture to Zambiri School in Nyongo-Gyel, Jos continues. It was a great day in April, Project leader Mrs Briggs, was present at Zambiri children outreach school to present our latest project to Arch Bishop and Mrs  Kwashi. The Foundation donated 50 sets of table and chair to school kids for use in there science class rooms. We also took this opportunity to announce to student and staff that in the next couple of months we will partner with the school on our “growing the game series”. 30 of the kids will train with Timeout4africa Education and sports foundation coachs and local staff for a week on life skills and the fundamentals of basketball.

The School Proprietor Bishop, expressed his gratitude with a letter of appreciation for the equipment donated and the commitment from Timeout4Africa to supply the classroom furnitures and also train the kids in Basketball development. With your support, we will continue to assist schools in need by providing equipment and materials to support their educational needs.

The Timeout4Africa Foundation is happy to share that our work in Africa continues to provide much needed support to children in Jos, Nigeria. Our school project, which included donating classroom supplies and furniture to Zambiri School in Nyongo-Gyel, Jos continues. The Foundation is working to furnish 2 classrooms with 50 desks and chairs. Additionally, we will be making minor repair to classrooms. We have commissioned a local carpentry workshop in Jos to construct the classroom furniture and the furniture is scheduled to be delivered in the middle of February 2018.

The head teacher, Ms. Lydia, expressed her gratitude with a letter of appreciation for the equipment donated and the commitment from Timeout4Africa to supply the classroom furniture. With your support, we will continue to assist schools in need by providing equipment and materials to support their educational needs.

The TimeOut4Africa Foundation continues to provide much needed support to children in Nigeria. Our next project will  include donating school supplies and refurbished laptops to schools to support classroom instruction. The Foundation will be able to supply 2 schools with 20 computers for instruction. For the past 2 years, teachers have expressed the desire to improve their instructional practices with the use of modern technology.  The laptops will be an avenue for students and teachers to connect virtually to online resources to support teaching and learning.  The computers are scheduled to arrive in Nigeria before the start of the January semester.  The computers will provide digital access to over 100 students. 

We are very exited to announce that our project leader, Jonathan Kolo, was nominated to receive the African Community Service Award for the outstanding work done to support schools in Nigeria.  The Awards Ceremony will be held at the Westin Hotel at the National Harbor in Maryland on November 4, 2017.

Thank you for your donations! All donations have been helpful in supporting the implementation of ongoing projects in Africa. This update is to inform you of the Award presented to Timeout4Africa Education and Sports foundation by the staff and students of Mawo international school Minna . We were awarded this award in recognition and appreciation of our tireless and encouragement to the school as a whole.From our project of building a basketball court to providing school equipment to the school.

 Timeout4Africa Foundation was represented at the award ceremony by Dr  Kolo (Project leader) and her team.She told the school of how honored we were to receive the award and also what the foundation has planned in the near future for the school.She also encouraged the kids to be good citizens and to do there best to make us proud. Approximately 300 students,staff and parents were present at the presentation.

Ms Louis the school proprietress extended a special thank you to donors and TimeOut4Africa Foundation for enhancing the school’s  facility. She also stated that she was thankful for scholarships rendered to the underprivileged kids at the school.The recipient of this year scholarship was Esther and Favor. Both girls will have there tuition paid for the entire school year and also books and uniforms will be taking care of by the foundation.
