Challenge

There is lot of health related disease taking place in Baare village Ghana, due to poor sanitation and lack of good source of drinking water. With this in mind we plan to bring together community members into water and sanitation program for them to harness the available village Dam, protect its catchment area and extend the water to other parts of the village by gravity. Before extending this water we will have it well treated in a reservoir for it to be pure for human consumption.

Solution

We will increase number of household with access to pure drinking water. Bring together community members into series of sensitization meetings and training on health and water borne diseases, sanitation and the environment.

Long-Term Impact

We will educated community members to work to protect the lone community dam, fight to eradicate water borne disease by initiating proper water & sanitation programs that will go to improve on their health especially that of women and children.
