The "Ending abuse " festival aims to raise awareness about the escalating issue of gender-based violence (GBV) and femicide, particularly focusing on the prevention of violence against women and girls. The festival brings together activists, survivors, policymakers, and communities to discuss and share solutions for ending femicide. Through art, music, theater, workshops, and panel discussions, it emphasizes the need for legal reforms, cultural shifts, and collective action to protect women's

GBV encompasses a range of harmful behaviors, including physical, sexual, psychological, and economic violence, experienced disproportionately by women and girls. This problem is exacerbated by Patriarchy and gender inequality weak legal frameworks, cultural norms and traditions , economic disparities among others.
