We need your support to provide immediate assistance such as food packs and family hygiene kits for children and families who were devastated by Super Typhoon Gaemi (Local Name Super Typhoon Carina.) Through your donations, we also may be able to ensure the learning continuity of children by providing at least 1,000 children with back-to-school kits and support public school teachers with teaching materials in time for the school opening this end of July or August
Over 179,00 individuals including children are suffering from the effects of Super Typhoon Carina nationwide. In Metro Manila, families are left with nothing as they flee to survive the heavy rains and flooding in their villages. Homes and livelihoods have been destroyed. Children, who are supposed to start the new school year on July 29, are heartbroken from having lost their school materials and school uniforms their parents have sacrificed to buy to prepare them for school.
Save the Children Philippines is calling for support to assist Filipino children and their families affected by Super Typhoon Gaemi and the southwest monsoon. In every emergency, children are always among the most vulnerable and often suffer the most. We need your support to provide immediate assistance such as food packs, hygiene kits, and support to learning continuity to children and their families suffering from the devastations caused by this event.
The project will be able to ensure the safety of affected families and the learning continuity of children,
