This project will provide: - Food items/parcels to address the immediate needs of 1500 IDPs affected by the crisis in Buea, Muyuka, Kumba Town and Mamfe Hygiene kits to support 1000 women and girls to maintain dignity and to meet their basic health and hygiene needs Emergency birth kits to Four hundred Women to meet the specific needs of women in emergency situations of delivery Train 100 internally displaced persons with knowledge on balanced diet and business life skills for income
The conflict in South West Region has developed into a serious humanitarian crisis and the humanitarian situation is rapidly deteriorating in large parts of this region. More than 180,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) including children, are in need of urgent assistance, as they struggle to survive and cope with the present heinous conditions of life.
The Project will contribute to solving the problems of: 1. Food insecurity - this project will provide food items 2. Inadequate wears - blankets, mats, mattresses. 3. Poor health situation especially women and children.
The project will provide income generating activities for 150 households women and men for sustainability and provide for families' wellbeing and health as they recover from the war situation in West Cameroon.
