The SBT cricket team were invited to participate in the street child cricket world cup held in Chennai , India.
Street Child United, a UK based organisation brought together 19 teams from 14 nations, using cricket as a platform to advocate for the rights of street children. Beyond the sport, participants engaged in advocacy sessions, cultural exchanges, and art workshops.
The journey, supported by Vistara Airlines, began with the Salaam Baalak Trust Team's maiden flight from Delhi to Bombay, followed by an exhilarating train ride to Chennai. The Street Child World Cup brought together teams representing various countries, all united by a shared experience of overcoming adversity and pursuing their dreams against all odds.
For our young participants from Salaam Baalak Trust, this was an opportunity of a lifetime – a chance to showcase their skills, share camaraderie, and their indomitable spirit on a global stage.
thankyou to all our supporters for making this DREAM come true .
