March Update: Mayekoo Foundation Beach Cleanup

By Team Mayekoo | Lead Organization

Mayekoo in collaboration with GUBA Foundation, organized a successful beach cleanup at Labadi Beach from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. As usual the sun was blazing hot but we were proud to be joined by 37 dedicated volunteers who came together with a shared commitment to protecting our environment. Thanks to their hard work we removed an impressive 8.6 tons of waste from the shoreline.

The collected waste included plastic, textile waste, wood, and other forms of debris—materials that would otherwise have polluted the ocean and harmed marine life. This impactful effort is a testament to what we can achieve together. With your continued support, we are able to organize more cleanups like this and take meaningful steps toward a cleaner, healthier coastline in Accra, and other parts of Africa.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping us make a lasting difference. Stay tuned for more updates with other organizations joining forces to conduct beach cleanups with Mayekoo
