Nationwide lockdown for 21 days in India has affected persons with disability very badly. The India has never seen a catastrophe of this extent like the present coronavirus effect. Life of persons with disability has come to a standstill, the state is in lockdown, their lives are totally turned over. These people are the poorest of the poor and live hand to mouth existence. we are very worried about how they will be managing. 10000 families of persons with disability will be provided ration kit

Challenge

The India has never seen a catastrophe of this extent like the present coronavirus effect. Life has come to a standstill, the state is in lockdown, people's lives are totally turned over. The people with disabilities and the aged are the most vulnerable and the group to suffer the most in the present circumstances. People with disabilities who run small shops on the pavement or who are cobblers or who run errands, do small trading, or work as daily wage laborers are the most affected.

Solution

In this lockdown situation, the lives of people with disabilities have become very difficult. Employment, business are closed. It has also been difficult to get two meals. Young children in the house are not getting enough food, old people with disabilities are also not getting two meals. Due to this condition they are having a very adverse effect on na physical and mental health. Malnutrition in children will increase, and illness will increase.

Long-Term Impact

1. The poor family of persons with disability will get two meals a day. 2. The prevalence of malnutrition will be lower in children, spouses and the elderly. 3. Children with disabilities do not even have an increase in their disability. 4. Cooperation in this difficult situation will increase their confidence. 5. Depression will also decrease, and mental health will improve. 6. No person with disability does not have sleepless night.
