Our goal is to reduce child abuse and bullying within our communities. In order to do so, we develop diversity and inclusion educational programs to nurture young minds and provide a safe space to educate them on discrimination in their daily lives, with the hope they can become active bystanders. We aim to create an ecosystem where children can confidently access consultation with professionals at any time.
n Japan, child abuse, neglect, and bullying are difficult to detect, and suicide is the leading cause of child deaths in Japan. Our project leader, who has expertise in criminology and a keen interest in child protection, wanted to create an ecosystem where students will feel safe to report any issues they have. There is also the hurdle of children wanting to contact someone during their times of need, but not wanting to discuss with school staff or parents.
We will gather our own community of certified child psychologists to receive the SOS consultation requests and will provide a space for children who feel uncomfortable talking to teachers or parents. Psychologists can then connect children with the most appropriate resources immediately. We customize diversity & inclusion educational programs to fit the needs of each school, club or local community. Improving education about discrimination will reduce the risk of bullying at a grass roots level.
We will achieve zero of abuse/bullying-related deaths, through diversity and inclusion workshops and building a child consultation ecosystem. We will pick up voices that would have otherwise been undetected. Through collaboration between us, schools and a variety of stakeholders, we build an ecosystem where children can make an informed decision and consult with verified consultants. That helps us realize friendly communities that understand the fundamentals of diversity and inclusion.
