As a result: Children walk barefoot in harsh weather, on rough or unsafe terrain. Some miss school during cold or rainy seasons because they have no shoes. Learners feel embarrassed or excluded, which affects confidence and attendance. Lack of proper footwear also increases risk of injuries, infections, and illness.
Through this campaign, we will provide 5,000 pairs of durable school shoes to children attending under-resourced primary schools in Mamelodi. Each pair of shoes will: Protect a child's feet from harsh terrain. Help restore confidence and belonging. Encourage regular school attendance. Bring joy and hope to a family in need.
