Dear Donors, Dollars invested in Rwanda go a long way toward stimulating the economy and keeping peace. We are grateful for your past donation to Bpeace’s Beauty School project that was posted on Global Giving. Rwandans started to feel the effect of the economic downturn and as a result, the landscape in Rwanda has shifted and jobs for stylists are less in demand. After considerable deliberation, Jeanne and Sylvie, the two entrepreneurs (and Bpeace Associates) leading the development of the school, decided to focus their efforts on strengthening their existing salon businesses in order to maintain their workforce. Because this project is no longer moving forward, your donations will be used to support the three other Rwandan finalists in the Bpeace Race to Innovation (http://www.globalgiving.org/leaderboards/bpeace).
