In Nepal, Local government's members are not trained and thus not prepared for the responsible task ahead. We do not have any prominent institute that teach ethical values so that these are intrinsically applied to program management, creative problem solving and ethical judgment. So, This project builds an Institute for good governance that provides knowledge skills and technique along with ethical values to become a role model future leaders of the country.
Nepal is a beautiful small land lock country with 29.84 million populations and huge potential resources like fertile land , second richest sources for hydro-power electricity ,the tallest Himalayan range. However, the beauty of the nation is overshadowed by corruption and unethical leadership. Nepal is sadly notorious for being one of the most corrupt countries in the world. It is ranked one of the most corrupt countries in the world, after Afghanistan in South Asia.
Despite the fact that Nepal could be a modern, progressive and resourceful country, we do not have any prominent institute that teach ethical values so that these are intrinsically applied to program management, creative problem solving and ethical judgment. So, This project builds an Institute for good governance that provides knowledge skills and technique along with ethical values to become a role model future leaders of the country.
Let's imagine a beautiful country where people can be proud of their leaders, where regions are administrated with at most responsibility, and care, where finances are distributed equally and the use of funding is transparent. We want to achieve this by empowering local leaders through a specially tailored training program that includes: Management, project planning, development and ethical judgment and action. And, this leads Nepal towards prosperity and peace.
