Standing in the Gap: When Survivors Need it Most

Because of your support, we continue to respond in real time to survivors facing crisis.

So far in 2026, “Standing in the Gap” has served 170 survivors of human trafficking, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and exploitation. This includes 27 hospital dispatches, where our team responded directly to support individuals in the immediate aftermath of acute trauma—providing comfort, advocacy, and essential resources during some of their most vulnerable moments.

When survivors reach out—often in situations of urgency or danger—your generosity ensures we can respond without delay. Through this project, we have provided critical support such as emergency clothing, hygiene products, meals, and transportation to safe locations.

These resources are more than items—they are a first step toward safety, dignity, and stabilization. One of the most meaningful aspects of this work is the ability to say “yes” in moments that matter most. Whether it’s arranging a safe ride, meeting someone at the hospital, or offering comfort items that help ground a survivor after trauma, your support makes immediate, compassionate response possible.

As we look ahead, we are continuing to expand awareness and community engagement through our April T-shirt Fundraiser in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This effort not only helps sustain funding for crisis-response needs, but also invites our community to stand visibly with survivors.
