Growth Growth Growth!

By Melissa Alcantar | Anti Trafficking Coordinator

Can you all believe that it is almost November?? That means it is basically Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years in about two minutes. We ask all of you for your continued support as we enter this holiday season.

Trafficking world has been busy! We finally moved into our new office space and we are currently thriving as a team; working together on every case! As newcomers into the trafficking department here at Fair Haven, we have learned just how much love/support/time is needed for each victim of Human Trafficking.

We also have been working hand in hand with federal agencies more than ever before. Our services getting out to the federal level is a HUGE deal. This will help open the door for so many more survivors to the emotional support they need during the most trying times of their lives. This also means a lot more work for us here and many more resources we will need!

So, as we navigate through this new journey of Anti-Trafficking, we ask for any help from our supporters to make our office feel like home! After a long day of meetings with the FBI, court houses, hospital walls, etc., we would love to come back to a cozy office! Just starting off in this new space, these walls are bare! We don’t have any type of shelving or wall art just yet! We would appreciate your generosity in helping make our office a safe space for us after a long day of giving to them!

Not only do we need help with our new space, but we also always need assistance to help our survivors navigate back into the here and now after trafficking. Grants help us out so much but there is always so much more we can do outside of what they can provide. We supply gas cards, diapers, toiletries, grocery support, phone cards/phones, and much more. All of this really aids our survivors to thrive again and rebuild.
