By Becca Emerson | Anti-Trafficking Coordinator
Happy New Year! We are so blessed for all of your support this past year as we began our adventure in a brand-new program. This has been a crazy quarter! Between getting sick (anyone else tired of COVID?!), the holidays, and so many trainings and meetings, it has been a busy time for us.
Our highlight this quarter is the continued partnership with a local law enforcement agency—Griffith Police! They allowed our Anti-Trafficking Coordinator to come along and train their Sergeants in an assessment to help identify potential victims of trafficking. We have successfully been called to their department to aid in the emotional support of survivors, and we have high hopes that our work with them will have a positive impact on our community.
We are continuing down the path of identifying long-term sustainable housing, and every dollar helps us reach our goal. We are getting closer and closer to our goal, and we need all the support we can get. Thank you so much for supporting our mission and vision as we continue to work for survivors in our community!
