Plans are underway for Silkroad to welcome 70 incredible global musicians to Boston for Global Musician Workshop in August. GlobalGiving supporters are invited to join the kick-off concert, which will be held in the historic Jordan Hall, on Tuesday, August 18th at 8:00 pm. This concert features the master musicians and culture bearers who teach the GMW program, including mariachi singer Veronica Robles, oud player Ara Dinkjian, percussionist Jamey Haddad, balafon icon Balla Kouyate, zheng virtuoso Mei Han, cellist Mike Block, violinist Hanneke Cassel, and more. This concert launches a week of performances, all of which take place at New England Conservatory, every evening at 8:00 pm. You are invited to experience GMW in action and to join us in Boston for the most joyous musical program of the summer!
