The impact of the sports and education project has compelled us to expand our activities to meet the the increasing number of women and children in the community we operate. This is a continuation of the previous but focusing more on direct development of the women and children other than constructing of the actual space.
This expansion will alow us to focus on 3 man areas for development;
1. Economic stability of teenage mothers
2. Early child and literacy development
3. Build the social, physical, emotional and cognitive development of children usuing sports as a tool.
In order to reach al the above listed goals in orer of priority, our new target is to raise $30,000 as we exppand to reach ut to more at-risk women and children.
It is also a success for us to mention that, relating to the economic stability of teenage mothers, our vocational program have transformed a little space into a studio where the women can present the items they have make for sale. Since the opening of the studio in late July 2017. We have sold up to 250$ worth of items and the women have walked home with 15$; 3x the minium wage in Ghana.
Raising $30k would enhance the project for us to bring in more expert, organize workshops on quality control and provide equipent and tools for the women to perfect the vocation which means = more quality products = more sales = more income for the women.
Thank you in adavance for supporting this project.
