Sport changing young people's lives in Pakistan

Physical Education (PE) plays a vital role in a child's education and development.  As well as promoting physical and emotional health and wellbeing, PE develops motor, social and communication skills and builds confidence and self-esteem.  It also boosts academic performance and fosters valuable life skills.  That's why Youth Sport Trust International is supporting Karachi based NGO, Jawaan Champions, to upskill teachers in primary schools to deliver high quality PE and provide opportunities for their pupils in sporting competition.

A capacity building cascade training model has been established to ensure that teachers can be trained at scale and marginalised school communities can be reached.   A key aim going forward is to strengthen monitoring and evaluation processes in order to track outcomes, assess programme quality and generate evidence-based insights to inform ongoing improvement and reporting.
