Youth Sport Trust International was back in Karachi, Pakistan in June to deliver further training to upskill practitioners to become ‘Master Trainers’ themselves. Our expert trainers worked with a group of 17 teachers who had been identified from prior training as having the necessary knowledge, interest and motivation to be able to implement high quality Physical Education Training to other teachers in schools.
This ‘train the trainer’ model is proving highly effective in building an in-country cadre of Master Trainers and thereby ensuring that the initial Physical Education and sport competition pilot delivered by Youth Sport Trust International in 2019 can become sustainable and be rolled out more widely. Although Youth Sport Trust International will continue to provide ongoing guidance, we are delighted that there is now an upskilled workforce in Karachi to ensure thousands of children are receiving high quality Physical Education lessons.
