"Pedaling Joy and Environmental Care: Bike Ride After Exam Week"
As part of its ongoing Environmental Education program, the Los Algarrobos School organized a "Pedaleando la alegría" bike ride for the school community following a week of exams. This event aimed to promote recreation, sports, and coexistence while fostering environmental awareness and responsibility.
The activity concluded with a gathering where participants shared their experiences and discussed ways to incorporate cycling into their daily routines. The school emphasized the importance of integrating recreational activities that promote both physical and emotional well-being while also fostering a deeper connection with the environment.
This "Pedaleando la alegría" bike ride was not only a fun and engaging way to celebrate the end of exam week but also a valuable learning experience for the entire school community, reinforcing the importance of environmental responsibility and sustainable living.
"Model Houses in Third Grade English Class"
The third-grade students surprised everyone with their creativity and skills by participating in a model house construction project. This activity sought to combine language learning with artistic expression and teamwork.
Each student had the opportunity to design and build a model house using recycled materials such as cardboard, paper, and wooden sticks. The project integrated vocabulary related to the home and parts of a house, allowing students to describe each detail of their creations in English.
During the presentation of the models, the students explained their designs and functions in a small exhibition in English, demonstrating progress in their fluency and confidence in the language.
This experience left the students with a valuable lesson: with creativity and effort, it is possible to build great ideas from scratch.
"Bringing the Spirit of Christmas to the Los Algarrobos School"
The magic of Christmas arrived at the Los Algarrobos School thanks to the effort and dedication of volunteers who inspired children to continue with the traditional Christmas celebration. With recycled materials and a lot of creativity, these women built beautiful nativity scenes that filled every corner of the students' hearts with joy and meaning.
For weeks, the volunteers collected materials such as cardboard, newspaper, and fabric scraps, demonstrating that sustainability can go hand in hand with Christmas traditions. With these pieces, they brought to life nativity scenes full of unique details, from handmade figures to carefully painted backgrounds.
With these initiatives, they not only fostered the Christmas spirit but also promoted values of recycling, collaboration, and generosity. Thanks to them, Christmas at the Los Algarrobos School will be experienced with a clear message: the most valuable thing about these dates is the love and unity reflected in every shared detail.
Thank you so much for your continued support of the Los Algarrobos School! Thanks to you, our programming is available to 99 students this year. On behalf of everyone here at school, we wish you a happy holiday and new year!
