Hi from the Shining Light School!
Things have been a bit stressful here in Nigeria, but everyone is trucking along!
The Shining Light School was on a mid-term break from February 20th - 24th, which was right before the Presidential Elections here in Nigeria on the 25th. There was speculation that there might be termoil, but the event passed and things ran rather smoothly. The students were able to resume school and began the second half of the second term. Students are busy filling in the work books that were delivered earlier in the year. Using the workbooks helps the students to focus and to organize their studies. The teachers are able to keep track of the student's progress in a better manner, and we have a phyiscal record of the subjects each student is learning.
Thanks again to all our donors who help keep this initiaive going! You are the reason our students are able to continue their education and this means so much!
