Summary

In Nigeria, millions of talented people are locked out of the digital economy not because they lack ability, but because quality tech training is out of reach. Cybersecurity and technology are already male-dominated fields. Direct Impact Empowerment Foundation sponsors vulnerable Nigerians to train in cybersecurity and identity management, delivered by a CISSP-certified practitioner. While our programme is open to all, we actively prioritise women to address this imbalance.

Challenge

In Nigeria, millions of talented people are locked out of the digital economy not because they lack ability, but because quality tech training is out of reach. Cybersecurity and identity management are among the fastest growing fields in the world, but the cost puts these careers beyond reach for the most vulnerable. Women face an added barrier in an already male-dominated field, the gap for Nigerian women is even wider. The problem is not ability. It is access.

Solution

DIEF sponsors vulnerable Nigerians to train in Identity and Access Management and Governance, Risk and Compliance delivered by a CISSP-certified practitioner. Training is self-paced and online. Every sponsored student receives full course access, fortnightly support sessions, a tailored CV rewrite, and five mock interview sessions. Total commercial value exceeds $1,300. The student pays nothing. We walk them all the way to the door of employment.

Long-Term Impact

Every graduate leaves with skills, a tailored CV, and interview confidence to compete globally. One career lifts a family. As DIEF grows, more cohorts follow each cohort expanding the number of Nigerians in tech. Students sponsored today become the evidence base for future funding, creating a self-reinforcing cycle of impact. The long-term goal is Nigerian women as leaders in global cybersecurity. That change starts here. And the door is always open for continued support. We dont fire and forget
