Sponsor 10 Nigerian Women into a Tech Career

We're excited to share the first real movement on this project. Over the past few weeks, we launched our advert calling for applicants for cybersecurity and IT training sponsorships, targeting Nigerians facing financial hardship who want a genuine path into a tech career.

The response so far has been encouraging. Applications are coming in from candidates who are serious about building a future in tech but have never had the means to access proper training, some are recent graduates, others are self-taught and looking for the credentials and structure to turn that into a real career.

The selection process has three stages: the advert, an online application form, and a final interview to confirm the right fit for each sponsorship. Our team is currently reviewing applications against the programme's core training areas, GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) and IAM (Identity and Access Management) engineering, two of the most in-demand specialisms in cybersecurity today.

This training is delivered through Betapersin, our IT and cybersecurity training arm, using the same curriculum applied in professional environments, at no cost to the scholars themselves. For many candidates, this is the first time a path like this has been within reach.

We're moving through interviews now and will share an update as soon as our first scholar is confirmed and training begins. Thank you to everyone who has already given toward this goal. Every contribution is what makes it possible for someone in Nigeria to take this shot at a career in tech.
