With the generous support of our donors from around the world we have many impressive achievents to report on our REZO program in Haiti.

To date, REZO  has 101 members, 51 builders and 50 block makers, and is partnering with nine Haitian private sector companies. Build Change has concluded a partnership with the micro-fianace institution FONKOZE. FONKOZE offers a tailored financial solution for certified block manufacturing in Port-au-Prince. It inlcudes a loan product and managerial technical support, giving block makers access to financial benefits that they wouldn't otherwise be able to reach.

To  improve ongoing services and benefits for members, REZO works with other institutions to elaborate tailored products or services to their needs and capacity. In this vein REZO met with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, which is offering managerial and financial assistance to small and medium sized businesses and we are finalizing details for formal partnership.

A significant improvement of Block Production Quality  among certifeid block producers can be measured. The average resistance of blocks produced by trained block producers almost tripled compared to their usual resistance before Build Change training. This translates to bette, stronger blocks used to build bette, stronger, safer houses that don't collapse on families during an earthquake.
