Humphrey, our partner on the ground in Kenya, has reported that the mood is very casual in Kiambiu these days. Activities in Kiambiu relating to the students in our Child Sponsorship Program are at a minimum right now, because Humphrey has been up country in Bungoma, his hometown; however, despite the separation, all of the children in the Program are doing well. After visiting them a few weeks ago, Humphrey relayed that the children are in their second school term out of three, and it’s the cooler dry season in Kenya, so students are happy to not be dealing with intense heat, or monsoons. Overall, we are happy to report that spirits are high with the children in our Program, and that your donations from all of supporters have been keeping the children in school!
A few other updates that we wanted to let all of you, our generous donors know, is that July 18th is GlobalGiving’s July Bonus day! On this day, if you donate above $100, GlobalGiving will match your funds! Additionally, in August, they are also having their annual Little by Little Matching Campaign. During this week-long campaign, they will match donations up to $50 at 50%! These two bonus days are a great way to make your donations stretch extra far to help provide education to the children in our Child Sponsorship Program. As always, thank you for your continued support!
