A Fountain Valley mom shares, “I am a single mom of two girls. With the Club’s scholarship, I am able to have my daughters at a safe place after school. I can’t afford any other childcare, and my work does not end when school ends. This scholarship helps me tremendously so I can stay at my job to make a living and provide for my daughters.”
Because the Club’s affordable programs are so important for working moms and dads, the Club works hard to keep our programs accessible to every family that needs them. We offer some programs completely free of charge, sliding scale scholarships for fee-based programs, and we keep fees as low as possible – typically half the cost of childcare in Orange County. While keeping our prices low, we also make sure that the quality of our programs and facilities are the best they can be. In fact, our Club just won an Honor Award from Boys & Girls Clubs of America for outstanding programming and this year we're investing more than $2 million in our facilities and buses thanks to state grants to ensure that our Club members have the very best quality experiences at our Clubs.
To give every child who needs the Club access to our award-winning programs, support from community members like you is vital. With your support, kids get homework help, STEM and reading programs, and all the help they need to succeed in school. Kids find opportunities to explore their creativity in our arts programs as well as get active and be part of a team in our sports leagues and fitness programs. They also learn leadership and life skills that help kids grow up to be great friends and neighbors.
If you'd like to share this program with a friend or make another gift today, the Club has a fantastic opportunity right now to have every gift made by December 31st matched dollar for dollar, up to a total of $30,000. Thank you for helping the Club continue to make its important programs accessible to the children and families that need them most.
