The project titled "Sponsor 200 Youths dcent job in Kigoma, Tanzania" was formulated and developed to address the challenges facing rural youth to access self employment. The data availlable shows that most ofyouth aspire to employ themselves through vocational skills, but they fail due to poor financial capacity to pay for vocational trainings costs. Due to this, they have been migrating to urban area with mindset to get green jobs. Unfortunately, many find no jobs and resort to bad behaviors including crimes and other associated risks. The implementation of this project intends to equip more than 200 marginalized and poor youth with vocational skills for and support them start-up Kits that will make them self-employed, increased their income and enabling them rise out of poverty.
Based on the financial availlability challenges, KaYD engaged in partnership with GlobalGiving as to get a platform for fundraising to help raining needed funds to enable implemntation of this project.
Since then, KaYD has been fundraising here and there, inviting her previous donors and friends to support the donaton and capaigning, unfortunately, no funds have been secured. On other hand, in July 2024 KaYD was among the GG partners paticipated in july bonus day hopping to raise some amount to enable the implementation of the planned activities, however, there was no success in the July Bonus day fundraising.
Based on the above fundraising situation, the project is not yet start. KaYD is continuing fundraising to make sure the availlability of funds to enable implementation of the project.
