Hello Everyone and Season's Greetings from the hardest working charity in Romania!
What a busy year this has been! 10,276 animals have been spayed and neutered in 2023, and the year is not over yet.... This makes our Grand Total for spays and neuters 122,987 as of November 30. This could never have been accomplished without the support of wise people who understand that spay and neuter is the real solution to stop suffering, abandonment, starvation and misery before it can ever be born.
It's not always easy to convince people that the $25 cost of a spay or neuter saves so many animals and hard earned funds in the longterm. Too many people make money off the misery of animals in Romania. Many are not interested in stopping this problem of unwanted births, but we are.. And we are working each and every day to change the lives of thousands of animals.
We worked at the Center of Hope Ilfov/Bucharest, Family Vet Craiova, Dumitresti Village for 137 animals, and a village near Sibiu for 307 animals in the past couple of months. Provided vaccines and deparasite products in small rural villages using the Hope Mobile Ambulance. The Spay Shuttle reached the villages in Ilfov County picking up animals for spay/neuter that was provided at Center of Hope.. The Red Van traveled hundreds of miles to perform massive Spayathon campaigns.Each one of our campaigns allows us to educate the rescuers and guardians. We give deparasite products to needy animals and their guardians, provide vaccines and often times emergeny surgery on the spot.
Our volunteers from the USA, UK, and Holland were able to unite once again and give hands-on help.
