Animals  Romania Project #12863

Spay and Neuter for 1000 Cats in Romania

by Romania Animal Rescue, Inc. Vetted since 2011 Project of the Month Site Visit Verified

Romania has thousands of cats that roam the streets and neighborhoods in search of food and shelter. Each unspayed female cat, her mate and all of their offspring, producing 2 litters of kittens per year, can produce well over 10,000 kittens in 5 years. Our goal, with your help, is to provide free high skilled spay/neuter surgeries to alleviate the suffering of cats who are hit by cars, abandoned, starving on the streets and in neighborhoods of Romania. Thank you.

Cats and kittens are in dire need of help in Romania. The impoverished guardians of these animals face a tremendous financial burden and cannot afford the high cost of spay/neuter, if their is a skilled vet who can provide this surgery even exists in their community. Uncontrolled breeding leads to hoarding, abandonment, starvation, disease, neglect and injuries. Please help us to help these kittens not to be born into a world that cannot provide for them. Thank you

Spaying/neutering will decrease the births of kittens in phenomenal proportions. Taken into account that in 5 years an unspayed female and her offspring can produce over 10,000 kittens

Long-Term Impact

Less cats and kittens will be born to suffer. The animal lovers and caretakers will be relieved of the burdens of feeding them, caring for the injured and diseased animals.
