Nyinuo fled her home with nothing, not even the clothes on her back. The clothes she wears now were given to her, along with a single plate and cup.
But thanks to your generosity, Nyinuo was able to receive much-needed emergency supplies!
Before your gift arrived, Nyinuo did her best to provide for her family. Nyinuo is blind, which made it even more difficult for her to not only find, but prepare food. Her daughter would lead her to market with the help of a stick, but the market was a long ways away and the cost of food very high.
Now, thanks to you, Nyinuo has food, shelter, and protection.
“These items will help me a lot. Tonight, I will sleep well because of the mosquito net,” Nyinuo said.
Mosquito nets are vital to protect against malaria-carrying mosquitos. She also plans to use her new cooking supplies to prepare a meal of vegetables for her family.
And your gift did so much more!
With your support, emergency supplies were distributed to 250 households. Moms and children were smiling as they waited to receive these supplies, grateful for your life-saving assistance.
Along with emergency supplies, you made possible the construction of 90 shelters for families, which protected over 500 people! It’s incredible to see the difference you are making in South Sudan.
Many families like Nyinuo’s fled their homes, unable to bring anything with them. Today the conflict in South Sudan continues to spread, which makes your support even more critical as more and more families are fleeing violence and food insecurity.
Your gift helps to restore the dignity of grandmothers and mothers like Nyinuo, who before were not able to provide for their own children. It is encouraging to see how the lives of these families are changing because of the practical help you give.
Your generosity speaks volumes, and we cannot thank you enough for your support!
