This project will support the mothers from the slums that might not be able to fund the needs of their new born child. Supporting these mothers makes sure that their child has the best start of life as possible.
Ugandan women living in the slums belong to the most vulnerable groups of society. They often have been denied school education. Therefore they have to earn their living in the informal service sector. Somero Uganda takes in those vulnerable young woman and mothers who were not able to complete their education. Earning their own living might not be enough to fund the needs of their new born child. This does not only affect the baby's health and wellbeing, but also the wellbeing of the mother.
To support these mothers Somero Uganda wants ''Newborn supplies in Emergencies''. To make sure that their child has the best start of life as possible. There are nurses and counsellors at Somero Uganda that can help these mothers mentally, but with these supplies they also can help them physically. Together we can make sure that the newborns can get the best start of their life as possible.
This project will support mothers from the slums who might not be able to fund the needs of their newborn child. This support will improve the start of the newborns lives and the wellbeing of the mothers.
