Throughout February-June 2026, scholarship support continued to be provided to 21 university students affected by the earthquake. This support provided an important guarantee for students to continue their education without interruption and not deviate from their academic goals.
However, it is known that the needs of students affected by the earthquake are not limited to economic support alone. The long-term effects of the disaster continue to affect students' psychological well-being, academic motivation, and future plans. Therefore, our scholarship program has been structured to go beyond financial support and support the holistic development of students.
During this period, scholarship recipients were offered online psychological support, and students were provided with access to individual support from expert psychologists if needed. This facilitated students' access to professional support mechanisms in coping with loss, uncertainty, anxiety about the future, and stress.
In addition to psychosocial support, mentoring programs were conducted to support students' professional development. These programs, which brought students together with experienced professionals in their fields, aimed to contribute to their career planning while simultaneously strengthening their self-confidence and future perspectives.
Efforts are also underway to increase students' access to internship opportunities to support their transition into professional life. In this context, discussions are being held with various institutions and organizations, and work continues to ensure that scholarship recipients have access to opportunities that will support their career development.
During this period, one of our scholarship recipients achieved a significant milestone in their educational journey by being accepted into a Master's program in Sustainable Development and Global Governance at a university in Spain.
