Scholarship funds have played a critical role in ensuring the continuity of education for students who have lost their families, whose economic resources have been drastically reduced, or whose opportunities to continue their education have been limited.
For students affected by the earthquake, continuing their education is not possible with financial support alone. Trauma, grief, uncertainty, and displacement directly affect students' attention, motivation, and academic performance. Therefore, we have transformed our scholarship program from a purely financial support model into a holistic support model that strengthens students' well-being.
Psychosocial support programs were purchased for students to participate in online.
Individual online consultations with expert psychologists were provided.
Professional support was offered on post-traumatic stress symptoms, loss and grief, anxiety about the future, and academic motivation.
To eliminate geographical barriers, support was made fully accessible online.
Thanks to the online model, students can receive support in a safe environment regardless of their location, significantly reducing barriers to accessing help.
While physical recovery has been achieved to some extent in the affected regions, the psychological effects of trauma persist in the long term. Furthermore, many students still face difficulties in:
Accessing a regular and safe study environment,
Accessing educational tools such as computers and the internet,
Maintaining access to long-term psychological support services.
Therefore, our scholarship fund is structured not merely as "educational support," but as a multi-dimensional solidarity model aimed at empowering students academically, emotionally, and socially.
Thanks to this support, students are strengthened not only academically but also emotionally, enabling them to continue their educational journey on a more solid foundation
