Tanzsolar LTD has carried out the Operation and Maintanance on the School Solar lighting system while we continue to do the additional fund rasing, It has been reported by School board to Tanzsolar that there is a huge demand of solar lanterns for girls at school from parents after performance competition in shchool which resulted to To Tanzsolar LTD giving away two portable NIWA LED lanterns to two best perfoming girls in form two Class which gave them more hours to study at night.
Tanzsolar has also given the girls some new LANTOR LED solar lanterns to test as an on testing LED Solar lanterns with the girls at school for providing them later to all girls at school and that Tanzsolar LTD is expecting to make it a Globalgiving fund raising project soon.Tanzsolar LTD team is thankful to Globalgiving and everyone who have been making donations and contributions in order to make our projects in successful.

Solar Electricity for an African School

Greetings and Happy new year to all,
Unfortunately due to new Government regulations concerning free school or all, the Government has issued a new rulling that does not allow parents to contribute directly made payments to all schools by parents, therefore this has greatly affected the installation of new solar batteries and this has placed the burden of raising the funds or new solar batteires sorely on Tanzsolar LTD.As we attempt to raise the new total sum of 1200$ alone, Tanzsolar has already been able to raise half of the needed amount with the help of our donors community.
In addition the price of securing quality solar batteries has also increased. At this time we are carrying out operation and Maintenance on the school solar system while we continue with the unexpected additional fund raising. The operational and maintenance cost for needed repairs are 12 LED 5watt Lights, and the replacement of fault switches. The LED bulbs are 7$ each =84$ and the switches are 4$ each. Transportation and allowance is 50$ the total cost to be 142$. Tanzsolar LTD will do this necessary operation and maintenance by the end of February 2017. As soon as we are able to raise the required additional funds that are needed for new batteries, they will then be installed. Any assistance that can be provided by our donor community will be greatly appreciated.

Solar Electricity for an African School

Due to some problems with the Tegeruka School board not having all of the reported needed funds to install solar batteries, this was due to more pressing issues that required their immediate attention to maintain the everyday operation of the school. Now both the school board and Tanzsolar LTD have agreed to postpone the installation of solar batteries until after the Christmas holidays.
This was a most unfortunate incident and Tanzsolar LTD has been assured that the installation funds that the school board was also supposed to raise on their side will be available and the installation will take place when the school reopens after the Christmas holidays.
Once the batteries are installed, Tanzsolar will go forward with a new project that will providea solar lantern for girl students who were not able to attend night study sessions that are held at the school using the school solar lighting system. Thanks to all of our supporters and donors who are helping to support the Tegeruka Secondary School Solar System project.
