By Richard Kelman | Project Leader - 4SROGBOE
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we are suspending our operations as 4SROGBOE in Ghana, effective immediately.
Sometimes we find that no matter how hard we try, we can no longer make something work.. no matter how good our intentions, how pure our hearts, how strong and supportive our Members.
Is it a clash of cultures, a misunderstanding of ways in which different groups operate? Or a victim of ever-more difficult economic conditions which, in fact, should spur us all to work better together, but, instead, seems to create more pressures and more stresses?
We have much to look back on with pride and hope for the future from our work in Srogboe and surrounding communities..and we have distributed almost 600 Solar Lanterns in the communities..which undoubtedly makes Srogboe the community with more Solar Lights per 'home' than any other in Ghana! But work like ours is never finished and ending it is very sad and our hearts and prayers go out to all in the communities that we have been helping and we ask their forgiveness.
And to our Members and those that we have met through GlobalGiving, we say thank you, thank you for all of your wonderful support and encouragement. You have helped more than you will ever know to make a difference in people's lives.
Sincerely
Richard Kelman
