Thank You - Global Giving & Community Building Grp

By Rosaline Pillay | Project Leader

I am sending you this message on behalf of the Community Building Group as a previous donor to CBG's Solar Powered Lights for Education of 604 Girls,Burkina Faso.

You may have received an email from GlobalGiving about our report posted on their website describing the groundwork that has been done in the village of Kamsi to ensure equitable access to the solar generated power by all 604 girls in the village. Thanks to your donations we are currently engaging with Solar Power companies to get the equipment we need to provide solar panels for the school in Kamsi as the first installation. This is an exciting step to support teachers and learners at the school!

After installing solar power at the school we still need to reach the balance of our goal of $25 000 in order to roll out to ALL designated homes as soon as possible!

Today, I would like to alert you to a Global Giving bonus opportunity on Wednesday September 16th.  In brief, donations beginning at 1pm UCT (9am EST) will be matched 30% until the $70,000 pot of GG matching funds is exhausted.

Typically, they are exhausted within just 15-20 minutes! So, if you would like to make another gift in support of CBG and have it leveraged 30%, you must act quickly!

We would appreciate if you would perhaps forward this email to friends and family and give them an opportunity to maximise their giving to this worthy cause right now as well.

Many thanks for your support of CBG in the recent past and hopefully in the future as well!
