At least of 90% of of disabled persons NGOs work is relying on women as experts and/or volunteers. So it is not a surprise to see that some of the most amazing work with persons with disabilities is being done by women. The main problem is that these NGOs rarely have proper resources for personal and professional development of these women. It's not so easy. Women lack access to relevant training, resources, and support. Due to this fact disabled persons are the most affected.
30 women (volunteers&experts) working within NGOs focused on disabled people are trained on: Empathy, Emotional Intelligence, Creativity&Problem Solving, Conflict resolution, Positive Thinking&Energy, Humour&Fun, Assertiveness, Team Work. Between the courses 1 day/month a practical workshop is organized. Women gather to share each other how they apply and translate soft skills in personal, social and professional actions on their work for consolidating learning&enabling networking among them.
The project will educate 30 women working with disabled people enhancing them key SOFT skills in their work wich will provide for their beneficiaries optimal conditions for fully manifesting their potential and human rights. Women are empowered to address the needs of persons with disabilities and work creatively with/for these vulnerable beneficiaries creating a proper context of emotional health and well being of them.
