‘Murgas’ are groups in where music, dances and acrobatics are combined. The children have to work together and think as a team to become a ‘Murga’, fostering values of teamwork and solidarity.
The beneficiaries are 35 chidlren from 7 to 13 years old of Rosario, Argentina, living in poverty conditions and at risk situation. In Argentina there are 6 millions children living in this situation. These children have many basic needs unsatisfied and therefore they become socially excluded. The Murga gives them the chance to 'be part' again and help their selfconfidence, staying away from criminality and streets.
Weekly, there are workshops of acrobatics, dancing, singing. Also the children make their own customs and yearly they perform in different events.
When children see things from other perspective, they realize how much they can achieve and start dreaming. After the first performance in public ever, the children realized they could reach any goal if they would keep working together.
