TNHF will provide the first ever matching soccer uniforms for JL Zwane FC. Matching uniforms fosters team unity and pride as the team travels to matches throughout the Western Cape.
JL Zwane FC team members all reside in the Cape Flats located 20 km outside Cape Town. It has been accurately described as the "dumping ground of apartheid". Rife with poverty and violence, team members use whatever soccer gear available. Often, the gear is not sufficient for the fields littered with glass and rocks, for the inclement weather during the winter months, or for fostering team pride and community necessary for effective team unity and effectiveness.
By providing matching uniforms screen printed with the team logo, the project will foster team unity and pride as they travel to matches throughout the Western Cape.
We will provide 27 matching uniforms to JL Zwane FC. Matching uniforms will attract young soccer players in the townships to the mentorship-based team, continuing the legacy of using sport as an avenue for social change.
