Dear Donors,

Last week we received one snake repellent device as a replacement for the damaged one. On Saturday, 23 November 2019, we installed this device near the kindergarten classroom (figure 2). Further work was done to check for any loose devices, and some were thus installed again (figures 3 - 5).

This device completed the 25-device set that we installed earlier (figure 1). Additionally, we have also ordered 10 more devices that we hope to receive in these coming weeks. Once we get them, we will install them soon afterward.

As you know, this project is still open for funding. Please share it with anyone who may be interested in supporting it. Your generous support will help protect 140 disadvantaged children who live at Yaowawit School from any risk of snakebites.

On behalf of the children, thank you for your generosity.

Kind regards,
Yaowawit Team

Dear Donors,

Last week we received another 25 snake repellent devices, but one of them was damaged and would soon be returned for its replacement. On Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, we therefore installed 24 devices. This time the installation process was voluntarily helped by eight of our high school students (see figures 2 - 6).

These devices were installed along the planned path (see figure 1, installed devices - second round) that covers the entire school ground. It is necessary to do so now because all of our 140 students have now been back at school after a holiday.

In addition to these installed devices, we have also ordered 10 more devices that we hope to receive in a few weeks. Once we get them, we will install them soon afterward.

This project is still open for funding. Please share it with anyone who may be interested in supporting it. Your generous support will help protect 140 disadvantaged children who live at Yaowawit School from any risk of snakebites.

On behalf of the children, thank you for your generous support.

Kind regards,
Yaowawit Team

Dear Donors,

Yesterday, we received 15 snake repeller devices. And today we have installed them around the buildings where the children currently sleep and often play. The children who have come back from their school break are not many yet, because the school will officially start on 4 November 2019. Therefore, this installation setup (see figure 1 in the currently installed devices) is temporary and will be rearranged again to cover more buildings (as displayed in the planned path in figure 1) after we receive more snake repeller devices.

Note that some of the children who were at the school today also volunteered to help with the devices installation (see figure 2). They were very grateful to you for the snake repellent devices you have bought them so far, because these devices can scare off snakes from their classrooms, playgrounds, or bathrooms.

Additionally, figures 3 - 6 are marked with letter d, from d1 to d15, which correspond to the letter d (from d1 to d15) in figure 1, which indicates the locations of the currently installed devices. If any further rearrangement of the devices is done, we will inform you here soon afterward.

This project is still open for funding. Please share it with your friends who may also want to help Yaowawit’s children. Your generous support will keep the children safe from any risk of snakebites.

On behalf of the children, thank you very much.

Kind regards,
Yaowawit Team

Dear Donors,

At the moment, we are delaying the start of the project for the following reasons:

First, we are still in the process of ordering the right solar cell snake repeller devices (see figures 1, 2, and 3). Hopefully, we can still find the ones with “Inspy” brand as it is highly recommended on Lazada.com. Otherwise, we purchase a different brand. However, we still want the snake repeller devices that are powered by solar cells as they are more environmentally friendly and more energy efficient.

Second, most of the children are on a school break and are not at Yaowawit now as they are having a two-week holiday somewhere else and are looked after by their custodians. However, six children are indeed staying at Yaowawit for the next two weeks because they have no custodians who pick them up. Because of few, these children can be looked after at all times - by parent teachers during the nights and by school teachers during the days.

That said, we will start the project at the end of the school break (which is, at the end of October 2019) and that is also when the children are back at Yaowawit School after their holiday. By then, we expect to have all the purchased snake repeller devices ready for installation around the school ground as we have planned earlier.

Thank you for your understanding. If you have any question or comment, please contact us at info@yaowawit.org. And as this project is still open for funding, please share it with your friends who may also want to help Yaowawit’s children. Your generous support means a lot to the children, who must always be safe and secure from any risk of snakebites. Therefore, we will install the snake repeller devices as soon as we receive them.

Kind regards,
Yaowawit Team
