2 individual slow loris save in Pk baru

Monday, 19 September 2022. The Riau BKSDA received the handover of two adult male slow lorises (Nyticebus coucang) from Rumbai and Rimbo Panjang residents. The Rumbai residents found the slow lorises in their garage as well as Rimbo Panjang residents found the animals in their kitchens.Based on information, not far from the settlements of the two residents there is a forest that is suspected to be their habitat.

The veterinarian from the Riau KSDA Center accepted the handover. The condition of the slow loris who was handed over by the Rumbai residents had a severed finger on the back leg, but has been treated and treated. Meanwhile, the loris that was handed over by the residents of Rimbo Panjang is in good health.

Furthermore, the slow lorises will be treated and rehabilitated before being released into their habitat.
