It’s been a busy few months for Sky Is The Limit School in Uganda.
Builders have been working tirelessly to construct three new classrooms to replace the building that was destroyed by termites. These solid brick rooms will make a huge difference to the quality of education at Sky Is The Limit. The children have been excitedly watching the builders’ progress and are looking forward to starting their lessons in the new classroom block.
Liza, our CEO, visited Sky Is The Limit for the first time in June while construction was ongoing. During this visit, she witnessed the amazing work of Rose Kabasingusi, Founder of Sky Is The Limit, met recent graduates of the school who have gone on to further their education at University, and spent time with the children and young people who attend Sky Is The Limit School to hear their stories. There was also a celebration of the newly completed build of the kitchen/dining block, which was specially built to comply with food safety standards and give the children space to eat their freshly prepared meals away from the hot African sun. You can read more about Liza’s visit here.
The classroom block is very near completion thanks to your generous support.
All that is left is to raise £3,000 for school equipment such as desks, chairs and writing equipment.

Have you thought about helping a young girl further her education?
Monicah, and eight intelligent 13-year old girls like her, have completed Primary School and hope to go to Secondary School. Their parents are too poor to pay for the fees themselves. The girls are hoping to find sponsors who will help to put them through 4 years of secondary school. It costs approximately £450 per year for each one (£150 per term), and includes boarding and tuition at a local Secondary School.
We were lucky to find a sponsor for Andrew, a medical student who needed support to complete the last 3 years to qualify as a doctor. He plans to become a paediatrician and return to work at Sky Is The Limit. But Monicah and the other girls still need someone to help them reach their full potential and create a better life for themselves.
If sponsoring one of these young girls appeals to you, please get in touch by emailing info@ecologia.org.uk
From Rose and the children at Sky Is The Limit, and the Ecologia Team, we thank you for your continuous support. It’s because of you that we are making such a big difference to the lives of Andrew, Monicah and other children like them.
Gratitude to The Toy Trust, who donated £30,000 towards the school build, and donations to the Henrietta Rose Memorial Fund.
