"I was born with a visual disability and made to feel different because of it my whole life. As our household expenses grew, I stepped out in search of a job but was hopeless. No one wanted to hire me because they thought I was not capable of doing any work. I was disheartened but still determined to support my family one way or another. When I found out about NOWPDP providing skills-based training to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) I immediately went to find out about it. They enrolled me in their Call Center Training and now I am a skilled Call Center Agent. Thank you to everyone who supported my right to gain a skill and move towards an independent life"
Like Hamza, there are millions of PWDs in Pakistan who suffer due to societal barriers to education, employment, and even basic life skills. At the NOWPDP Training Center, these PWDs are given a safe space where they can learn market-relevant skills that would help them secure jobs in the future.
Every contribution is a step towards empowering these PWDs to join the workforce and become equal members of society. Join us in changing more lives and contributing toward the cause of disability inclusion in Pakistan!
